FTD or PPA Caregiver Support Group
Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) are relatively rare dementias, which cause initial degeneration in behavior or language, respectively. The average age of onset of these diseases is in the forties through sixties age group.
Spouses and significant others benefit by sharing experiences and learning that others truly understand what they are going through. Ideas to decrease stress are discussed and experiences are shared. Caregiver support, education and resources are provided.
This group meets the third Monday of each month.
